Dinner: OATS BOTTLE GOURD VADA - Mrs Vahchef

This dish provides with all the required carbohydrates, proteins, vitamins, fats, minerals and also has dietary fiber. http://www.vahrehvah.com/oats-bottle-gourd Ingredients: Oats 1 ½ Cup Besan ½ Cup Water As required Oil To fry Cumin seeds ½ Tsp Carom seeds ½ Tsp Red Chilli flakes 1 Tsp Coriander powder 1 Tsp Turmeric Pinch Bottle gourd(grated) 2 Cups Salt to taste Curry leaves 2 sprigs Method : 1. Firstly, in a mixxi jar take oats and grind it to make fine powder. 2. Take it in a bowl and add besan and little water to it to make a thick slurry. 3. Now in a pan add oil, when its hot add cumin seeds, carom seeds, red chilli flakes, coriander powder, turmeric, grated bottle gourd, and salt. 4. Mix it well and saute it for a minute. 5. Add curry leaves and the oats slurry. 6. Mix it continuously till it becomes a lump. 7. Transfer it in a greased bowl. 8. With the help of oil on your fingers set the lump by just pressing it. 9. Keep it aside for 10mn for resting. 10. With the help of a knife transfer it on a plate. 11. Cut it into pieces starting from centre. 13. When the pieces are ready add oil in a hot pan and transfer all the pieces into the pan. 14. Pan fry or shallow fry all the pieces on slow flame turning to all the sides till they turn golden in colour. 15. Switch off the flame when they become crispy. 16. Serve them hot with tomato sauce.
