Lunch: Green Peas and Mushrooms

Green Peas and Mushrooms make a great side dish for chicken or pork

Ingredients

2 tablespoons butter
1 cup onion, finely minced
1 (8 oz) package baby portobello mushrooms, sliced
1 (16 oz) package frozen peas
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground pepper

Instructions

In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the onions and mushrooms. Cook, stirring occasionally, for 4 minutes. Stir in the peas and 1/2 cup water. Cook, stirring frequently, until the peas are tender, 8 to 10 minutes. Stir in the salt and pepper.
