Lunch: Civic Treasure

Recipe by Renee Erickson This spectacular gin-and-bitters cocktail from Barnacle in Seattle features bittersweet bright-red Cappelletti, an artisanal wine-based aperitivo from the Trentino-Alto Adige region of Italy.

Ingredients

1 ounce dry gin
1 ounce Cappelletti
1 ounce Zucca
Chilled club soda
2 dashes rhubarb bitters
1 orange twist

Instructions

In a mixing glass filled with ice, stir the gin, Cappelletti, Zucca and bitters. Strain into an ice-filled chilled collins glass. Add an orange twist and top with club soda.
