Snack: Bacon Cheeseburger Dip

Recipe by Lindsay Funston Oh, we went there: For anyone who loves bacon burgers, we have a dip loaded with onion, Worcestershire, and cheese.

Ingredients

1 tbsp. extra-virgin olive oil
1 large onion, chopped
1/2 lb. ground beef
6 slices bacon
8 oz. cream cheese, softened
1 1/2 c. shredded cheddar and Monterey jack
1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp. garlic powder
kosher salt
Freshly ground black pepper
Potato chips, for serving

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add oil. Cook onions until soft, 4 to 5 minutes, then add beef and cook until no longer pink, 6 to 8 minutes. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to soak up grease.
Wipe out skillet and add bacon. Cook over medium heat until crispy, about 6 minutes. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate. Once cool, crumble and transfer to a large bowl.
Add cooked hamburger and onions, cream cheese, cheese, Worcestershire, and garlic powder and season with salt and pepper. Transfer mixture to a baking dish and cook until warmed through and cheese is bubbly, 12 to 15 minutes.
Serve hot with potato chips.
