Dessert: Cheesecake With Praline Sauce

A decadent homemade dessert for a special occasion.

Ingredients

1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
1/2 stick butter, melted
5 eggs
1 1/2 cups sour cream
1 cup plus 8 tablespoons granulated sugar, divided
3 (8 oz) packages cream cheese, at room temperature
2 tablespoons light brown sugar
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1 cup dark corn syrup
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1 tablespoon vanilla extract, plus 2 teaspoons

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350 °. For the crust, stir together the graham cracker crumbs, 4 tablespoons sugar, and 1/2 stick butter. Pat this mixture into the bottom and sides of a 9-inch spring form pan.
