Lunch: Steaks with Mushroom Cream Sauce Recipe
Ingredients
4 beef top sirloin steaks (6 ounces each)
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
Instructions
Sprinkle steaks with salt and pepper. Grill steaks, covered, over medium heat or broil 4 in. from heat for 5-7 minutes on each side or until meat reaches desired doneness (for medium-rare, a meat thermometer should read 145 °; medium, 160 °; well-done, 170 °).
In a large skillet, saute mushrooms and garlic in oil for 3 minutes. Stir in the onion dip, cream, chives and pepper. Bring to a gentle boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, for 2-3 minutes or until heated through. Serve with steaks.
