Drink: Cherry-Orange Tequila Cocktail
Recipe by Katie Barreira A slow pour creates pretty layers of cherry and orange for this tequila-spiked rainbow in a glass
Ingredients
3/4 ounce (1 1/2 tablespoons) maraschino cherry syrup (strained from a jar of maraschino cherries)
1/2 ounce (1 tablespoon) crème de cassis
3 ounces (6 tablespoons) fresh orange juice
2 ounces (4 tablespoons) reposado tequila
Garnishes: maraschino cherry, orange twist
Instructions
Pour cherry syrup into a tall, skinny glass. Fill glass 3/4 full with ice. Slowly pour crème de cassis directly over ice, creating a second layer. Slowly pour in orange juice; slowly pour in tequila. Garnish, if desired.
