Dinner: OATS & VEGETABLE PORIDGE - Mrs Vahchef
Mrs.Vahchef is very fond of cooking and her Recipes are very unique and fit for busy women specially working women Oats cooked with vegetables is one of the best ways to consume oats. Oats are good for health. This porridge can also be fed to kids and can be served for morning breakfast. INGREDIENTS: French beans(chopped) ¼ cup Cauliflower(small florets) ¼ cup, Cabbage(chopped) ¼ cup Carrots(chopped) ¼ cup Garlic(chopped) 1 tsp Ginger(chopped) 1 tsp Turmeric powder ¼ tsp Capsicum(chopped) ¼ cup Green peas ¼ cup Mushrooms(chopped) ¼ cup Pepper powder 1 tsp Dry herbs ½ tsp Spring onions(green chopped) 1 tbs Salt To taste Water 2 cups Oil 2 tbs Oats ¾ cup METHOD: 1. Heat oil in a pan and add french beans, cauliflower, cabbage, carrots and saute it 2. Add garlic, ginger, turmeric powder,capsicum, green peas, mushrooms, pepper powder, dry herbs and saute it for 2 mins. 3. Boil water in a saucepan and add oats, salt(optional) and cook it until the oats are soft and transfer it into a serving plate. 4. On top of oats add cooked vegetable mixture. 5. Garnish with spring onions and serve it.
