Health and fertility benefits of Turtle Brownie Bars
Nuts are a natural source of Inositol, a derivative of Vitamin B (which is often prescribed in the form of supplements for women with PCOS). Inositol can effectively control the symptoms of PCOS by reducing insulin resistance and improving insulin sensitivity.
Ingredients
Basic Brownie Batter
1 c. Chopped peanuts
2 tbsp. Chopped peanuts
30 caramels
1/3 c. semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions
Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. Line two 8-inch square baking pans with parchment and set aside. Mix Basic Brownie Batter and 1 cup peanuts. Divide batter between prepared pans.
Bake for 20 minutes, then remove pans from oven and sprinkle caramels over top. Continue baking until a skewer inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs, about 10 minutes more. Let cool. Drizzle with chocolate and remaining peanuts. Chill until chocolate sets, 10 minutes. Remove brownies from pans. Using a sharp knife, slice into 5 strips, then cut strips in half. Nutritional information is based on a 1 brownie bar.
