Health and fertility benefits of Beef, Noodle and Vegetable Skillet
Broccoli is one of the non-starchy vegetables that has a very low glycemic index (GI), which is beneficial for reducing blood sugar levels. Broccoli is also a source of DIM (Diindolymethane). Diindolymethane is very effective in reducing the testosterone levels in the body, an action that would automatically curb male dominant features and regulate the estrogen levels in the system.
Ingredients
1 c. ground beef
1 c. chopped onion
3 c. water
2 beef bouillon cubes
1 jar low-fat mushroom gravy
1/4 tsp. dried thyme leaves
8 oz. medium-size egg noodles
1 bag frozen mixed vegetables (I like broccoli cauliflower and carrots)
1/2 c. nonfat sour cream
Instructions
Cook beef and onions in a large nonstick skillet, 4 to 5 minutes until meat is no longer pink.
Add water, bouillon cubes, gravy and thyme. Bring to a boil, stirring often. Stir innoodles and frozen vegetables. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover and simmer 8 to 10 minutes, stirring twice, until noodles are tender.
Remove from heat and stir in sour cream.
