Snack: Yummy Spinach Dip

Recipe by LOVES2SMYLE This is my own version of a basic spinach dip. It's a mild, creamy mixture with the gentle crunch of water chestnuts, and it's perfect for potlucks.

Health and fertility benefits of Yummy Spinach Dip

Fresh spinach is an excellent source of vitamin K, vitamin A, vitamin C, and vitamin B6, all of which have significant roles in reducing inflammation in the body, all of which help in the case of infertility. Nuts are a natural source of Inositol, a derivative of Vitamin B (which is often prescribed in the form of supplements for women with PCOS). Inositol can effectively control the symptoms of PCOS by reducing insulin resistance and improving insulin sensitivity.

Ingredients

1 (10 ounce) package frozen chopped spinach, thawed and drained
1 (16 ounce) container sour cream
3/4 cup mayonnaise
3 green onions, chopped
1 (1 ounce) package dry vegetable dip mix
1 (8 ounce) can water chestnuts, drained and chopped
2 teaspoons prepared Dijon-style mustard

Instructions

In a medium bowl, mix together chopped spinach, sour cream, mayonnaise, green onions, dry vegetable dip mix, water chestnuts and prepared Dijon-style mustard. Chill in the refrigerator 8 hours, or overnight, before serving.
