Health and fertility benefits of Asian Style Broccoli
Broccoli is one of the non-starchy vegetables that has a very low glycemic index (GI), which is beneficial for reducing blood sugar levels. Broccoli is also a source of DIM (Diindolymethane). Diindolymethane is very effective in reducing the testosterone levels in the body, an action that would automatically curb male dominant features and regulate the estrogen levels in the system. Sesame seeds help with progesterone balance. Lignans found in in sesame seeds help to prevent excess estrogen production.
Ingredients
1 cup chopped broccoli
1 1/2 tsps ginger
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp sesame seeds
Instructions
1. Blanch broccoli in boiling water (or boil to desired crispness).
2. Remove from heat and drain.
3. Mix grated ginger and soy sauce together in a bowl.
4. Mix in broccoli. Then toss in sesame seeds and your done.
5. Note: for variations, you can add a little chili powder for some zing and add some sauteed onions.
