Breakfast: Fruit Smoothie

Grapefruits are rich in folic acid. One grapefruit will give you 8% of your daily needs of folic acid. Agave has a low glycemic index (GI) of 17.

Ingredients

2 peaches, peeled, halved, pitted
1 grapefruit, peeled, quartered
1 orange, peeled, halved
1 very ripe frozen banana, peeled, chopped
8 strawberries, hulled
1/2 cup plain whole-milk yogurt
1 tablespoon agave syrup (nectar)

Instructions

Combine all ingredients in a blender and process until very smooth, about 45 seconds. Divide among glasses.
