Nuts are a natural source of Inositol, a derivative of Vitamin B (which is often prescribed in the form of supplements for women with PCOS). Inositol can effectively control the symptoms of PCOS by reducing insulin resistance and improving insulin sensitivity.

Ingredients

1 1/2 cups peeled and steamed chestnuts (such as Melissa's)
1 cup almond milk
1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/8 teaspoon ground cardamom
1 1/3 cups vanilla low-fat frozen yogurt

Instructions

Combine chestnuts, almond milk, salt, pepper, nutmeg, and cardamom in a blender; blend until smooth. Add frozen yogurt to blender; blend until smooth.
