Researchers believe that cranberries contain substances that prevent infection-causing bacteria from sticking to the urinary tract walls. However, store-bought cranberry juice is typically all sugar - so make sure to stick with straight cranberries.

Ingredients

Cooking spray
1 pound fresh Brussels sprouts, trimmed and cut in half
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
1/3 cup dried cranberries
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

Instructions

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Spray a baking sheet with cooking spray.
In a medium bowl, add remaining ingredients and mix well.
Pour Brussels sprouts on baking sheet.
Bake for 25-30 minutes; toss once during baking.
