Breakfast: Hot Flax Seed Meal Cereal

A breakfast that's rich in omega 3

Ingredients

1/2 cup butter, softened
1 cup plus 2 tablespoons almond flour
1 cup granular Splenda
1 egg
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 teaspoon almond extract
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In a medium bowl, cream the butter.
Add the remaining ingredients and beat until well combined.
Spread the mixture into a greased 8 x 8 baking pan. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown. Allow to cool, then turn out of the pan and cut into 12 bars.
Place these back on the baking sheet and return it to the oven for 5-10 more minutes until bars are very brown but not burnt.
Allow to cool completely.
