Lunch: Sour Cherry Compote

Serve this sweet-sour sauce over ice cream, pie, or even pork for a super taste of summer.

Ingredients

3 c. frozen sour cherries
1 c. granulated sugar
2 tbsp. balsamic vinegar

Instructions

Put cherries, sugar, and vinegar into a small saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until cherries have burst and mixture begins to thicken, about 10 minutes. Serve warm.
