Broccoli is one of the non-starchy vegetables that has a very low glycemic index (GI), which is beneficial for reducing blood sugar levels. Broccoli is also a source of DIM (Diindolymethane). Diindolymethane is very effective in reducing the testosterone levels in the body, an action that would automatically curb male dominant features and regulate the estrogen levels in the system.
Ingredients
1/4 cup creme fraiche
125 g broccoli
125 g cauliflower
1 tbsp chopped chives
25 g low fat cheddar cheese
Instructions
1. Bring a pot of water to boil and in the meantime chop the broccoli and cauliflower into florets.
2. Boil them for 5-10 minutes or until soft. Place in an ovenproof dish.
3. Mix the grated cheddar cheese and chives (salt or pepper as well optionally) with the creme fraiche.
4. Pour into the dish, over the vegetables.
5. Place the dish in an oven or microwave and grill for 7-10 minutes or until golden.
6. Enjoy!
