Soup: Hamburg Soup

Tomato based soup with lean beef, rice and vegetables.

Ingredients

2 cups canned tomatoes
1 cup tomato soup
16 oz lean ground beef
1 tbsp crumbled bay leaf
1 tbsp parsley
1/2 tsp ground thyme
3 tsps bouillon cubes
4 large carrots
3 stalks large celery
1 medium onion
5 cups water

Instructions

1. Brown ground beef.

2. When nearly browned, add onion.

3. Drain well.

4. Combine ground beef with remaining ingredients.

5. Simmer for 2 hours.
