Wheatgerm is a natural source of Inositol, which is often prescribed in the form of supplements for women with PCOS due to its ability to effectively reduce insulin resistance and improve insulin sensitivity. One tbsp of honey has a glycemic index (GI) of 55.

Ingredients

1 banana
1 cup cold milk
1 egg
1 tablespoon wheat germ
1 tablespoon honey
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

Instructions

In a blender, combine banana, milk, egg, wheat germ, honey, vanilla and nutmeg. Blend until smooth. Pour into a chilled glass and serve.
