Ingredients
3 1/2 c. Swanson® Chicken Broth
1 medium carrot
1 stalk celery
2 skinless, boneless chicken breasts
1/2 c. uncooked medium egg noodles
Instructions
Heat the broth, vegetables and chicken in a 3-quart saucepan over medium-high heat to a boil.
Stir the noodles in the saucepan. Reduce the heat to low. Cook for 15 minutes or until the noodles are tender, stirring occasionally.
For Lemon & Pepper Chicken Noodle Soup: Prepare as above. Add 1 tablespoon lemon juice and a dash of ground black pepper for last 5 minutes of cooking time.
For Chicken & Mushroom Noodle Soup: Use vermicelli or spaghetti, broken in 2-inch pieces for the egg noodles. Add 1 1/2 cups sliced mushrooms and 1/2 cup sliced green onions for the last 5 minutes of cooking time.
