Health and fertility benefits of Tasty Creamy Fruit Dip Recipe

Cinnamon is one of the best ingredients that someone with insulin sensitivity can eat. Half a teaspoon of cinnamon per day has been shown to be very effective at normalizing blood sugar levels. Cinnamon contains hydroxychalcone, which is thought to enhance the effects of insulin. It has also been suggested that Cinnamon prevents post-meal blood sugar spikes by slowing the gastric emptying rate - meaning that food digests slowly. (Reference: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/11506060). Lemons can help to prevent oxidative damage to the body, which women with PCOS are often susceptible to.

Ingredients

1 package (8 ounces) fat-free cream cheese
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 cup (8 ounces) reduced-fat sour cream
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 teaspoon lemon extract
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 cup cold 2% milk
1 package (3.4 ounces) instant vanilla pudding mix
Assorted fresh fruit

Instructions

In a small bowl, beat the cream cheese and brown sugar until smooth. Beat in the sour cream, extracts and cinnamon until smooth. Add milk; mix well. Add pudding mix; beat on low speed for 2 minutes. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour. Serve with fruit.
