Lemons can help to prevent oxidative damage to the body, which women with PCOS are often susceptible to. One tbsp of honey has a glycemic index (GI) of 55.

Ingredients

2 ounces bourbon
3/4 ounce fresh lemon juice
3/4 ounce honey

Instructions

Combine bourbon, lemon juice, and honey in a cocktail shaker. Fill shaker with ice, cover, and shake very vigorously to help dissolve honey until outside of shaker is very cold, about 20 seconds.
Strain cocktail through a Hawthorne strainer or a slotted spoon into an old-fashioned or rocks glass with 1 large ice cube or several smaller ones.
