Lunch: Banana Bonkers

Recipe by HSTR Wonderful tall, cool banana drink that is great on the deck in the hot afternoon. Kids love this also. Optionally, you can mix in 3 eggs which have been whipped in the blender.

Lemons can help to prevent oxidative damage to the body, which women with PCOS are often susceptible to. Grapefruits are rich in folic acid. One grapefruit will give you 8% of your daily needs of folic acid.

Ingredients

3 bananas
3 cups fresh grapefruit juice
2 cups lemon sherbet
1 cup crushed ice

Instructions

Puree bananas in a blender or food processor. In a gallon pitcher combine pureed bananas, grapefruit juice, lemon sherbet and crushed ice. Stir and serve.
