Ingredients

1 15-oz. can pumpkin puree
2 large eggs
1/4 cup natural peanut butter
1/2 cup oats, crushed in blender
3 tablespoons wheat germ
3 cups whole-wheat flour

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350 °F. In a large bowl, using an electric mixer on medium speed, combine pumpkin, eggs and peanut butter. Add oats, wheat germ and flour; mix until a sticky dough forms.
On a floured surface, roll out dough to 1/4-inch thickness. Cut out treats using a 3-inch bone-shape cookie cutter. Use a spatula to transfer treats to baking sheets. Bake until golden brown and dried, 30 to 35 minutes. Allow to cool completely. Store in refrigerator in an airtight container.
