Dessert: Chocolate Mice

Twas the night before Christmas and all through the house not a creature was stirring... except the chocolate mouse! Made of crushed Oreos and chocolate drizzle, there is every reason to be excited to find one of these mice at the dinner table.

Ingredients

18 mint Oreo cookies
4 oz. cream cheese
35 Hershey's Kisses
6 oz. bittersweet chocolate chpis
4 Twizzlers
2 fruit leathers
Sprinkles

Instructions

Line 2 large baking sheets with parchment paper. In a food processor, pulse mint Oreo cookies to form fine crumbs. Transfer to a medium bowl and combine with cream cheese (at room temperature). Roll into 35 balls (1 inch each; about 1 1/2 teaspoons) and place on the prepared baking sheets. Press an unwrapped Hershey's Kiss onto each ball, molding the dough to create a smooth seam.
Melt 6 ounces of bittersweet chocolate chips (about 1 cup) according to package directions. Using 2 forks, dip each mouse into the chocolate, letting the excess drip off before returning to the prepared pans. Cut Twizzlers into small triangles and place on the mice to create ears. Cut 1-inch lengths from the fruit leathers for tails, and use sprinkles for the eyes and nose. Chill until chocolate is set, 20 to 30 minutes.
