Lunch: Sweet & Spicy Roasted Nuts

Roasting your own nuts is incredibly easy and gives you the freedom to customize them with your favorite flavors. The brown sugar in my recipe caramelizes the nuts while the cayenne pepper adds a little heat to this protein-packed appetizer. Serve the nut

Health and fertility benefits of Sweet & Spicy Roasted Nuts

Nuts are a natural source of Inositol, a derivative of Vitamin B (which is often prescribed in the form of supplements for women with PCOS). Inositol can effectively control the symptoms of PCOS by reducing insulin resistance and improving insulin sensitivity. Walnuts are low on the glycemic index. What’s more, they also lower the glycemic index of other foods that you eat in conjunction with these nuts. Any kind of nuts provide a healthy source of fat and a great way to encourage PCOS weight loss.

Ingredients

1 cup raw unsalted almonds
1 cup raw unsalted cashews
1 cup raw unsalted walnuts
1 cup dry roasted pistachios
2 Tablespoons unsalted butter
1 1/2 Tablespoons kosher salt
1 1/2 Tablespoons brown sugar
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 Tablespoon dried rosemary
