Broccoli is one of the non-starchy vegetables that has a very low glycemic index (GI), which is beneficial for reducing blood sugar levels. Broccoli is also a source of DIM (Diindolymethane). Diindolymethane is very effective in reducing the testosterone levels in the body, an action that would automatically curb male dominant features and regulate the estrogen levels in the system. Sesame seeds help with progesterone balance. Lignans found in in sesame seeds help to prevent excess estrogen production. Nuts are a natural source of Inositol, a derivative of Vitamin B (which is often prescribed in the form of supplements for women with PCOS). Ingredients
1/2 cup sliced water chestnuts
2 cups chicken broth
1 tbsp soy sauce
2 large egg whites
1 cup broccoli, chopped
1/4 tsp ginger
1/2 tbsp dried whole sesame seeds
Instructions
1. Stir fry all ingredients except egg whites and broth for 3 minutes over medium heat.
2. Add broth and bring to a boil.
3. Stir in egg white and turn off heat.
4. Serve immediately.
