Soup: Beef Stew

Ingredients
2 thick slices bacon
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup chopped green pepper
8 cherry tomatoes, quartered
1/4 cup water
26 oz beef chuck
Instructions
1. Dice the bacon and cook it well in a frying pan.
2. Drain grease, reserving about a tablespoon.
3. Brown beef stew meat in same pan.
4. Put all ingredients into a crockpot for 8 hours.
5. Note: it's ready when the beef is extremely tender like an osso bucco.
